Size
Beebee is 18cm / 7” head to toe, 14cm /5-1/2” sitting. She is widest ear to ear at 10cm / 3-1/4”.
Making & Material
She’s a fresh start. She was made when I wasn’t ready, when I was reluctant to mess up my organised fabric. I gathered every scrap that escaped cleaning on my desk, like a ray of sunshine, Beatrix was born.
Small scraps stitched to scraps made bigger scraps, like growing crystals, into a bear. Beatrix was built entirely from by hand, stitched into place, and modified numerous times before the form took shape. Her eyes are embroidered free hand using new threads.
Play
Made entirely of scraps stitches to scraps, they are flexible, sturdy but fragile relative to noisybeak pocket dolls, and require more care. They sit well on their bum, but might need a knead and a nudge from time to time. Please do not limbs beyond 180 degree or they might snap. Their tongue is stitched to a swirl of fabric, and can be moved 45degree side to side for posing.
Caution
This is an art doll, not a child’s toy. Please do not let them near any child who rib things apart and swallow. They are also a fire hazard, prefers cool and dry environment.
