Size

Erwin  is 10cm / 4” sitting. He is widest at the bum at 5cm / 2”.

Making & Material

I used to neglect the tail of cat dolls, because they are behind, invisible or so I thought. This beakie’s bushy tail tells the story.

A fist of tiny scraps held lightly by strips of Indian cotton shirts, navy paisley and light blue flowers on white.

He was built entirely from by hand, stitched into place, and modified numerous times before the form took shape. His eyes are embroidered free hand using new threads.

Play

Made entirely of scraps stitches to scraps, he is flexible, sturdy but fragile relative to noisybeak pocket dolls, and require more care. He sits well on his bum, but might need a knead and a nudge from time to time. His head swivels left and right, but please do not twist beyond 180 degree or his head might roll.

Caution

This is an art doll, not a child’s toy. Please do not let it near any child who rip things apart and swallow. It is also a fire hazard, prefers cool and dry environment.
